We thank the following companies for supporting Safe Horizon during our 2009 Fiscal Year:

  • Capital One Bank - Capital One Bank's commitment is evident in its active and steadfast support of Safe Horizon for nearly a decade.  To date, the company has committed more than $2 million to our programs and initiatives, including critical funds into Safe Horizon’s Child Advocacy Centers for victims of child abuse. The Bank also serves as the proud national sponsor of Hope Shining, Safe Horizon’s national initiative to increase awareness, prevention, and support services for children, families, and communities impacted by violence and abuse.

  • Phillips-Van Heusen - For over ten years, Phillips-Van Heusen has been passionately committed to supporting Safe Horizon. Phillips-Van Heusen has long recognized that a commitment to community service is an integral aspect of their corporate identity and culture. At the heart of their community engagement initiatives are Phillips-Van Heusen associates whose dedicated support of Safe Horizon has touched Safe Horizon’s extensive and diverse client base, through employee volunteer events at our program sites throughout New York City.

In addition, Phillips-Van Heusen is one of the founding members of SafeWork 2010, and all of their Human Resources staff have been trained in SafeWork. Phillips-Van Heusen has ensured that all their associates have received resources to help raise awareness of domestic violence.  Hope Shining has also benefited from Phillips-Van Heusen’s signature Hope Shining ties, designed specifically to engage the public on recognizing and responding to the signs of child abuse.
