SafeWork 2010 Signs New Members |
Safe Horizon’s SafeWork 2010 movement welcomed six new members this summer, bringing the total to 20 CEOs who have pledged a commitment to take on the issue of domestic violence in the workplace.
These commitments would not be possible without the SafeWork CEO Action Kits, which provide CEOs and Human Resources managers with information about domestic violence in the workplace, as well as sample policies, tools and resources to support a company’s efforts in addressing this issue.
The CEO Action Kit, generously funded by the Allstate Foundation in 2007, is a creative tool that addresses the need of getting CEOs to pay attention to domestic violence in the workplace. With the help of the Allstate Foundation, other SafeWork 2010 Members, and the Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence, we are working towards our goal of 200 CEOs joining SafeWork 2010 and taking action to address the impact of domestic violence in the workplace.
Allstate Insurance Company’s President and CEO, Tom Wilson, supported this goal since its inception, urging others in corporate America to get involved. As a founding member of SafeWork 2010, Allstate has shown true leadership and foresight in working to raise awareness of the effect that domestic violence has on the workplace. By helping to identify corporate executives throughout the country, and sending them this informational kit, Allstate has lived up to its SafeWork 2010 pledge and continues to disseminate this information, spreading this important message. With the support of all our founding members, SafeWork 2010 will enable corporations all over America to keep their employees safe and protect the bottom line.
