New Beginnings
Ariel Zwang joins Safe Horizon at an exciting time, as we prepare to celebrate our 30th anniversary. It is also an extraordinary time for our programs in Upper Manhattan, where our new Harlem Hub will connect existing sites and two critical new facilities opening this year. The Harlem Hub will ensure that our clients can easily access the help they need.

Signature Harlem Hub Facilities Opening This Fall!

Get the Facts about the Harlem Hub
  What is the Harlem Hub?
A nexus of new and existing program sites, Safe Horizon’s new Harlem Hub is  our latest effort to address the needs of clients holistically and effectively by linking critical services and facilities.

Where is it located?
In the heart of the historic Harlem community in Upper Manhattan, the Harlem Hub spans a neighborhood where Safe Horizon already has a long history of service. Here's a map of the Harlem Hub.

What services are offered and who can use them?
There will be many services offered throughout the sites incorporated into the Harlem Hub. The articles below touch on three facilities and the work they do.

The Manhattan Center - Rebuilding Victim's Lives
The Manhattan Center, the cornerstone of the Harlem Hub, will house the Manhattan Community Program, offering immediate comprehensive assistance to victims of abuse, as well as a satellite of our Mental Health Counseling Center, the only mental health clinic in New York City licensed specifically to address trauma induced by violence.

Child Advocacy Centers - Healing Lives, Restoring Hope
The Manhattan Center will also house the borough’s first co-located Child Advocacy Center, which will provide immediate, comprehensive and compassionate care to victims of child abuse. Here, a team of professionals from police detectives to pediatricians will work together in one child-friendly location to bring justice and healing to children and families.
